One of two model sheets created for my final major project in college. The character is intended for use in a sci-fi hero-shooter featuring a mostly-alien cast, inspired by comic-books, manga and preexisting games such as Overwatch - their role in the game is that of a tank, absorbing large amounts of damage for their team whilst also being able to dish out equally sizable chunks of burst-damage to anyone who gets too close with a stun-stick-style weapon along with their mech-suit's powerful punches..
This character was very fun to design, but also ended up being counter-beneficial in regards to working quickly on account of the complexity of their mechanical elements! This will be something to consider going forward, as well as helping in showing that perhaps studying mechanisms and technology more in my artwork may help in regards to improving the speed at which I draw future 'mechanical' designs.
